Dana LaMendola
Life Enrichment Coordinator
You want your Enrichment Director to love to laugh and have fun, and to excel at inspiring others to do the same. Dana is the perfect choice!
Dana has a bachelor’s degree in communications-film-television production from Xavier University. As a Producer/Director for Ethan Allen for over 20 years, Dana began a home staging business. To grow her business and to utilize her skills helping families downsize and transition into senior living communities, she took a part-time job as an Activity Coordinator. That’s when she found her passion: Engaging and creating programs that help seniors enjoy the best years to come.
She now says being a Life Enrichment Director is “the best job! I get to play, laugh and have fun creating interesting events taking residents out of their comfort zone by trying something they might not have done before. Helping them to embrace the passion for life and live life to the fullest!”
Compassion guides Dana. “I recognize how humbling it can be for independent, capable people to ask for help as they age, so I truly listen and figure out how I can help them age with grace and dignity and adapt things so they can continue to participate as long as possible.”
Dana likes to laugh, and to stay active. She’s been scuba diving, snow mobiling, skiing, sailing, and skydiving. Perfect vacation? Floating on a raft, being with friends and family, having games to play, a nice bottle of wine, good food, and an evening bonfire.
